Regarding a recent edit

[edit]

@Maxman013: hey there, with respect to your recent edit here. The edit which you reverted, although poorly justified by the editor in its edit summary, was kind of correct. The source cited to the portion of text is poorly written and a rushed piece. The subject of the article was arrested on Aug 28, as claimed in the portion of the text in question, but not for " an alleged Maoist plot to assassinate Indian prime minister Narendra Modi." but the subject was arrested in connection with an FIR lodged following an event -- 'Elgaar Parishad' that had triggered violence at Koregaon-Bhima village. This can be clearly understood from the following source here stating, the Police arrested Navlakha on August 28 after searches in several cities to take him to Pune in connection with an FIR lodged there following an event -- 'Elgaar Parishad' (conclave) -- held on December 31 last year that had triggered violence at Koregaon-Bhima village.

Along with the subject of the article, 4 other arrests were made on Aug 28, and one of them namely, Varavara Rao, was arrested with respect to the assassination plot. As stated here
I request you to please go through the following, and let me know your thoughts about it, and make any necessary edits.

Accused of plotting to assassinate PM Modi, according to Only News Nation on 31st Dec. 2023? He is involved in a plot to destabilize India by killing the PM, according to the news! Has he been arrested? His demand is to handover Kashmir to Pakistan! RG Sharma (talk) 12:10, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
