Gavin Frost article still has no citations that meet WP:V

If he has been featured in newspapers and magazine articles across the United States, as his article states, this should be very easy to fulfill. I was able with a little work to do this for Carmel River School when it was up for afd a week or so ago. This is an elementary school with none of the claims to fame Gavin Frost is making. Fact tag

The degrees listed for Gavin Frost come from his biography, referenced later in the article. Unless there is some controversy about whether he holds the degrees, something I've never seen questioned, I see no reason for this to be tagged any more than those listed for other authors' articles. I can't remember seeing an article where the degrees listed were accompanied by a citation when there was no controversy. I've deleted the tag. Rosencomet 16:20, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Fact Tag Restored

The fact tag asks users for additional references. Instead of deleting it where it is needed because it has not been added elsewhere, I believe a more appropriate action would be to include the tag on other documents were required.

Rosencomet, you are a known associate of Gavin Frost and an organizer of festivals at which he speaks. Lets not continue to allow Wikipedia to be the playground of popularity contests. The goal is creating and improving articles. Removing such commentary simply lowers the standards.

You are mistaken. I am in no way connected to Gavin Frost. I am not a member of any organization of his, and he is not a member of any organization of mine. I have no economic connection with him, and he has not appeared at any event I organize in a matter of years. You, on the other hand, seem to have come into Wikipedia with only one agenda, and it concerns Gavin Frost and the Church and School of Wicca. Are you associated in any way with A.J. Drew, or are you, in fact, he?Rosencomet (talk) 17:29, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Please do NOT replace a citation for a fact with a tag saying "citation needed".Rosencomet (talk) 20:36, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I put back up the Fact tag. I'm sorry, but I don't think these "credentials" are unbiased, considering it comes from one of the Frosts' own websites. I think we need an alternative, OUTSIDE source that is not connected to the Frosts' or their School. Disinclination (talk) 17:44, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I think that's nonsense. But, I have replaced the citation, AND added ANOTHER citation which I hope you will accept more readily, from a source that has no connection to the Frosts. The paragraph itself elaborates on these degrees, and uses this additional citation. There is no controversy about Gavin Frosts' university degrees, and you can find them listed in the biographical notes at the back of the books he's written. What do you expect; a newspaper article about the degrees he's earned? Do you need transcripts from universities? What other author's article requires that? Here are both the degrees in his own words and an independent source; without showing ANY source questioning his academic credentials, why set a higher bar for this author? Suggested changes

This article has many more details about Frost's death, as well as his life, and could significantly bolster the overall quality of the article: http://wildhunt.org/2016/09/gavin-frost-1930-2016.html

As I am an editor at The Wild Hunt, it would not be appropriate for me to add it directly.--~TPW 12:37, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

Why Is There No Section On The Controversy?

The Frosts were well known for making controversial and unsupported claims such as that they were founders of Wicca and brought the religion to the U.S. The Frosts also ignited a great deal of criticism for their writings in their 1972 book, The Witches' Bible, where they advocate sex with minors, as well as incest, during initiation rituals.
