Comments[edit]

I'm quite happy to see a page on this particular engine —Preceding unsigned comment added by AVKent882 (talkcontribs) 03:13, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prototype[edit]

Was a prototype of this engine ever built? I think we need some history in this article. -Rolypolyman (talk) 21:25, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, here I am 10 years later, and the article is still a stub. Is nothing known about this engine's development history? I'll check back again in 2030. -Rolypolyman (talk) 23:39, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Or you could do some research for sources with the information on your own, since you seem to be the only one who cares. BilCat (talk) 00:00, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rolypolyman: And I meant that seriously, not as a sarcastic remark. Anyway, someone put "3" for number built in the infobox. I haven't checked yet to see when it was added, or by whom, but if it's accurate, those would be the prototypes. BilCat (talk) 00:30, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, though I did look in places like DTIC and found very little. I've reached the limits of my expertise and am hoping someone else will fill in information (or one of the ex-engineers before they pass away). Anyways I'll check back in 2030.-Rolypolyman (talk) 19:19, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Engine competition[edit]

According to the Lockheed L-2000 article, there was an engine competition, between this engine, the Pratt & Whitney J58 derivative, and the Pratt & Whitney JTF-17A. There should be some information here on that. 65.94.47.63 (talk) 06:18, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
