i don't know how (or whether it is possible) to change the title of wiki articles. the title should be "generaliZed metric".. please correct this..

Wikipedia does not enforce one sort of English over another: see WP:ENGVAR for policy on British vs. American usage. Acroterion (talk) 04:09, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The triangle inequality was incorrectly defined, the <= should have been >=. This has now been corrected. Ref - http://homepages.cwi.nl/~janr/papers/files-of-papers/tcs193.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by BlackMetalStats (talkcontribs) 05:07, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Although it can be derived from the axioms listed for ease of reading for the amateur/novice reader, should we include the positive definite axiom, i.e.

There is also a notion of generalized metric in the context of Nigel Hitchin's "Generalized Geometry" (Differential Geometry/Mathematical Physics). I think a disambiguation note should be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GrandiniMath (talkcontribs) 22:10, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
