Genesis 3 outlines the first sin of man referring to the serpent tricking Eve into eating the fruit from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil using a lie.
The Serpent said their eyes would be opened when they eat it. This was enough to convince the two as they also seen the tree looked beautiful and the fruit looked delicious so they ate it commiting the first sin.
