Wrong information

[edit]

As far as I know there have never been thalers in Geneva. Before napoleonic invasion, there has been a system with pistoles, livres and sols, then there was french system briefly introduced, and between 1814 and 1838 they minted again sol and denier coins. The swiss franc was introduced in 1851, not in 1850 (a recurrent mistake, due to the date 1850 on the first federal coins). --62.203.103.235 (talk) 23:30, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The thaler coins are listed in
Krause, Chester L.; Clifford Mishler (1991). Standard Catalog of World Coins: 1801–1991 (18th ed.). Krause Publications. ISBN 0873411501.
Do you have evidence which contradicts this?
