The following paragraph was posted on the main article page, but the analysis was unaccompanied any no source citation which could bolster its validity:

The period marked a change in Japan after suffering a number of years of turmoil due to feuding between regional and local war lords. Power was gradually centralized by one warlord Oda Nobunaga who was able to control the regional daimyo and the residual kenmon to his material gain. Nobunaga was assasinated in 1582;and his projecte unification plans were taken up by his chief lieutenant, Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
