An argument on notability
[edit]Based on the WP:NOTINHERITED and WP:Notability (people) guidelines, arguments for Gennadiy Korol's notability and keeping this article are as follows:
- Korol co-founded Moon Studios and through it co-created the game Ori and the Blind Forest together with Thomas Mahler; the game has received numerous independent and prestigious awards, and has won significant independent critical attention.
- Korol's work with the game is known for significantly forwarding the concept of "video games becoming art" according to independent opinions.
- Korol is a creative professional who is regarded as an important figure and his comments are widely sought by peers on technology & gaming topics outside of his main focus (Moon Studios & the Ori games).
Thus, Korol is notable as a co-creator of a significant product in his own right and through it he has gained wider critical and peer attention; not only because he was part of a company or a team. The aforementioned points are the basis of the article.
Please discuss here if there are counter-arguments. Shadowdasher (talk) 08:37, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
