Everything is looking good. Nice addition to the definition as it definitely clears things up for the novice reader. Explaining what the specific notations mean might be something to define and clarify in such a way that a person would be able to apply the equation. Although an example (with numbers associated with each genotype) may be helpful and aid in your explanation, it may not be necessary as this is an encyclopedia entry.
