Effects of geomagnetic excursion

[edit]

What are the effects, rather than causes, of geomagnetic excursions? I've added a bit on effects, but there isnt a whole lot to go on (hence the lack of references. I'll likely be back to fix it up furthur soon) Kmb19 (talk) 20:28, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Laschamp event was a complete reversal

[edit]

I've added in this information with cites. It was a very brief total reversal with the reversed field 5% of normal. As a result first para is slightly inconsistent perhaps so may need attention but I thought that better than to have incorrect information there. So I was "bold" and did the fix right away.
