Pygmalion date in lede

An anonIP changed the lede date for this play from 1912 to 1913 when the lede prose sentence refer to "wrote" with the dates added. Why would one want to state a falsehood? Tim riley reverted me with the summery: We have used the pub/perf dates in the article, and on balance I think the IP's alteration was right." Of course he is correct that elsewhere in this article and the play's own article Pygmalion (play), the creation date and first performance dates are clearly stated as 1912 and 1913. I see no need to change it to 1913 in the lede because this is clearly misleading for readers. In this instance I maintain the original date 1912, that I reverted the anonIP edit to, is correct and Tim is wrong in supporting that. ww2censor (talk) 22:48, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Happy to go with the consensus on this. Views, anyone? Tim riley talk 06:49, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
