Why does he have an article?[edit]

Someone needs to explain Brady's relevance and why he is deemed important enough to have an entry—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.86.55.92 (talkcontribs) .

Notable due to status as a holocaust survivor who was later the subject of an award-winning and best-selling children's book, Hana's Suitcase. The book has reportedly "won more awards than any Canadian children's book of the past 30 years" [1], has been translated into at least a dozen languages, and has been adapted to the theatre. Perhaps the George Brady and Hana Brady articles might be merged into a single Hana's Suitcase article in the future, but for now I see no reason to remove this article. Cannot survive 2 camps[edit]

The article states that Brady is "a Holocaust survivor of both Theresienstadt (Terezin) and Auschwitz (Oswiecim, Poland)." This, to me, is rather pointless. Lots of prisoners were moved form one camp to another, some even more than once, and it would be wrong to state that they survived every camnp they were in. To survive would mean to be in a camp as the war is over. I.e. I came across this site on looking at Imre Kertesz. He was in Buchenwald, and before that some days in Auschwitz - and he is mentioned as an Auschwitz-survivor. And either he survived both, or only Buchenwald. The reference to survivors seems to be having a little bias in my opinion.

Residence[edit]

Where does George live? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.28.63.1 (talk) 18:46, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Czech national library authority file [2] biographical note as rendered by google translate, Jiří Brady "lives in Toronto, he holds talks and writes about memories of the Holocaust and imprisoned in Auschwitz." (google translate)
I infer from its ID that the record for Hana Brady [3] was created in 2003 but I cannot infer anything from this ID xx0056370. --P64 (talk) 22:02, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
