Whoever added the following quote - Can you verify the spelling of Massachusetts in your source? If Steuart spelled it that way in his letter, then fine - Otherwise, we need to fix the spelling.
On April 22nd Steuart wrote to Charles Howard, President of the Board of Baltimore Police:
"If the Massachussetts troops are on the march [to Annapolis] I shall be in motion very early tomorrow morning to pay my
