Discussion on improvements[edit]

Hello, Lesser Cartographies. I am not sure where to start the talk on this page. If I am in the wrong place, please let me know. Maybe the easiest place to start is the box on the right side of the page. I submitted a photo and forwarded the appropriate permissions to Wikipedia. Can we reapply the photo? Also, I think it would be good to list his touchdowns with the other stats. Touchdowns are 2. The number of tackles that is listed currently is 653. That number is incorrect. It should be 652. This is the number reflected in the stat chart.

I think those are the only changes to make in the box. Please let me know how these sound to you?

Hey there, Susieshoe. First, a few housekeeping matters. When you make an edit to anything other than an actual article, it's local convention to "sign" your comment with four tildes like this: ~~~~. It looks like you're signing something, but it's turning into a url (and the the SineBot comes along later and appends your signature). If you had modified your signature, something broke; just reset it back to the default for now. Next bit of trivia: if you're starting a new conversation, you can either click on the "New Section" tab or put in a section header directly on a line by itself, like this:

== New Section Title ==

And you can call me "Lesser" or "LC". If you dress it up like this, [[User:Lesser Cartographies|LC]], then I'll get "pinged" with an email message, which is helpful if I am not checking my watchlist.

And that's enough trivia for one evening. As to your substantive question: did you get a URL or ID number for the image? I can try chasing down the status of the image. If you discussed this with Orangemike already, let me know; he might know more about the status.

As to the number of touchdowns, can you point me to a player in a similar position where touchdowns are listed? If that's common practice, that'll be no problem, but I expect that he's not known for his touchdowns, so adding that to the highlights in the infobox might look a little strange.

As to the number of tackles: You've got 652, the info box has 653, and the stats box has 507. You're the expert here. Can you track down where the discrepancy is and let us know what citation you've relied on?

Hello, LC. Thanks so much for the information. I think I may have somehow unchecked a box regarding my signature. I have rechecked it and hopefully it will work correctly now.

Regarding touchdowns, I looked up three other players (Brett Favre, Donald Driver and Reggie White), and each had different stats listed in that box. I would like to add touchdowns, but if you see a good reason not to, I defer to you.

As far as tackles go, when reporting them, two numbers are added together -- TKL (tackles) and AST (assists). That number equals 652.

Hi Susieshoe. I've got a busy day in real life so I might not get to this for a few hours. However, your signature still isn't working. Could you try clicking on "Preferences" (top right of your screen), then scroll down to the Signature section. For now, the edit box should be blank and the checkbox ("Treat the above as wiki markup") should be unchecked. If you make any changes there, click "save" at the bottom. Then head back here and type in the following exactly as you see it. (I want to make sure that your tildes really are tildes.)
