This article is conjectural[edit]

There is insufficient evidence to say that George Starkey *was* the author of the works of Eirenius Philalethes. This article should be edited to read that there is a body of evidence which could support said theory.

The article is not conjectural. There is more than sufficient evidence to say this. If you doubt it, read the two books cited. There is simply no question any more that Starkey was the author of the the works of Eirenius Philalethes.Ajrocke (talk) 17:13, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stub Article Revised[edit]

The original stub article has been revised and expanded and now reflects some of the best available research on George Starkey, although many unknown aspects of his life still exist. Ntimreck (talk) 15:27, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merger[edit]

The Eirenaeus Philalethes article is (barring the extensive bibliography) very short and mostly redundant with this one, since they're about the same person and all. There are a few bits and pieces that might be worth bringing over, though, and I don't know if anything special would have to be done with the authority control stuff. -165.234.252.11 (talk) 17:23, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
