Really Dumb Question: What the Heck is Junior C anyways

[edit]

what's the definition? what age group? boys only or coed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Feldercarb (talkcontribs) 03:01, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Junior is a classification of skill level... the letter represents town size. The age group is to what age junior ice hockey is restricted to... usually 16-20... sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower. Generally only men play in these leagues, but there is no restrictions to gender... anyways... to break it up... "Georgian Mid-Ontario" is the region, "Junior" is the level, "C" is the town size, "Hockey League" is the type of grouping it is (per sport). In a year or two this entire system will be reorganized by the Ontario Hockey Association and the term Junior "C" will probably become obsolete. DMighton (talk) 03:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
