More info[edit]

Needs more info on how they were caught, especially. Thanos6 13:36, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Im working on it. I misplaced the book Families Who Kill where I got the article. Hedwig0407 05:20, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Sandra to do things neither had imagined,"

A little vague. Considering this is an encyclopedic article there's no need to censor out details. - Xvall

This page needs some clean-up. The descriptions of the crimes is rife with crimes against grammar. JeffMDavidson 03:34, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

"Their families were horrified." is totally unnecessary. Of course they were. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.212.158.226 (talk) 20:57, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Is this the right title for the article? I was searching Wikipedia for the Gallego region in Spain, and in the drop box the title "Gallego sex slave killers" appeared - and I thought, "sex slaves from Gallego that are killers? That's an article to check out." Instead it was even more depressing.

Not that everyone would come across the article that way, but I still think the article title can be improved. "Sex slave" shouldn't go before "killers," because it makes it look like "sex slave" modifies killers. If anything, it should be "Gallego killers of sex slaves," but that, aside from being awkward, skips the fact that they made the victims sex slaves themselves. Why not just "Gallego killers," as more than a few killers rape their victims before killing them? Or, more descriptive, "Gallego serial killers"? zafiroblue05 | Talk 13:10, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go ahead and do it, I guess. zafiroblue05 | Talk 21:46, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reworded the lead to match the page move. --momoricks talk 13:16, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page rename proposal[edit]

I see that this page has already been renamed once; however, Gallego serial killers still seems awkward and unclear. Other Wiki article pages about "killer couples" appear to be named for the couple, such as Michael Bear Carson and Suzan Carson and Gwendolyn Graham and Cathy Wood, or have pages for each person, such as Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo. The best option for this one seems to be Gerald and Charlene Gallego. A mention that the case is known as the Sex Slave Murders could be added to the lead, as there are two books about it with that title: Ray Biondi's All His Father's Sins: Inside the Gerald Gallego Sex-Slave Murders and R. Barri Flowers' The Sex Slave Murders. Any input? --momoricks talk 02:14, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I renamed the page. --mo talk 01:37, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Charlene Gallego born 19 October 1956[edit]

An inquiry about her birth time at the birth registry for Stockton, CA, revealed that Charlene's birth date is 19 October, and not 10 October 1956. A copy of the original document is linked in Astro-Databank. I have not updated the main page, yet. --Aloist (talk) 11:37, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I see the name "Charlene Adell Williams" in the infobox. This is now edited into the top of the article as Charlene's maiden name, EXCEPT for the Adell(e) spelling discrepancy; could someone resolve that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.47 (talk) 19:41, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone willing to take a crack at this?[edit]

The article appears to be a combination of plagiarizing of sensationalist news articles and vague recollections of someone who sort of remembers the events. It could really use a complete overhaul and removal of most of that with the addition of sourced statements, but as this is the first time I've heard of them, I'm not really the one to do it. Foxyshadis(talk) 05:25, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am not the person to do it, either, but this is the least scholarly article I have ever read on Wikipedia ("they fell insanely in love", LOL). It reads like VC Andrews wrote it.71.254.12.130 (talk) 03:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well who the hell IS the person to do it?? Both of you belong to Wikipedia so YOU do it, or scrap the entire article. On a topic this serious every statement should be cited. I shouldn't have to state the obvious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.151.233 (talk) 03:48, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this is a very sub-standard article and needs to be either removed or rewritten correctly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.19.15.56 (talk) 22:49, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey TAFI folks—Let's start from scratch[edit]

This article is in awful shape. It's essentially composed of a series of BLP violoations. WP:NPOV, WP:V, WP:NOR. I think we're best off starting from scratch. I'm going to Be Bold and wipe it out tomorrow if no one objects or does it first. – gwendy (talk) 02:13, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

The cimbined infobox content is a mess, with all the initials. I'd like to replace it with one infobox for each person, possibly with fewer parameters. Any objections? Matuko (talk) 04:46, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
