Misprint[edit]

Thank you so much for bringing it up! I checked The Guelph Party in Imperial Germany, 1866–1918 by Evan B. Bukey and it should be 1870:

With the passage of time Guelph leaders realized that in order to give their grievances a more effective voice, a more definitive program and a tighter political organization had to be adopted. Therefore, on 30 March 1870 farmer Minister of State Alexander von Miinchhausen called a meeting of particularist leaders in the city of Einbeck. Here it was decided to establish a Hunnoverscher Wahluerein, an organization which would select candidates for Reichstag elections and continue to articulate the Guelph protest throughout Hanover. The Wulz lverein also provided the necessary nucleus around which an effective party structure could be built.
