Logbook[edit]

Managed to find translated versions of the Captain's logbook for several u-boat patrols during the war. In particular is U-35's first patrol, 9th Semptember-12th October 1939. http://www.uboatarchive.net/U-35/KTB35-1.htm . Great source material. I'll leave it here for the time being if anyone else is interested, but I'll look at adding stuff to this article myself at a later date.

Other KTB's can be found here http://www.uboatarchive.net/KTBList.htm

Diamantis[edit]

It is difficult to decide how to balance the Diamantis with the rest of the article. I'm not sure whether or not I improved it. Her gallant treatment of the Diamantis crew is all that she is notable for. (Other than her encounter with the Alvis which has yet to be mentioned in the article). The Diamantis story got a fair deal of press coverage at the time and more recently. Perhaps it should be a separate article? - ClemMcGann (talk) 07:20, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Life Magazine[edit]

The U-35 is pictured on the cover of the October 16, 1939 edition of Life magazine. 184.60.27.208 (talk) 00:57, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
