Queston about sources - help, please![edit]

Hello out there! Does anyone know the sources for this entry? Would love to incorporate some of it into the main Hair site but "need back-up" as they say in fact checking land -- Mblaxill 22:00, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Advocate[edit]

One correction: Gerome Ragni spelled his shortened name Jerry with a J. I just talked to Jim Rado a few minutes ago to clarify that very point, before the profile I just did on him for the Advocate's website goes up. New info has come to light. In an Aug 2008 Advocate.com article Jim Rado speaks about Jerry as "a love of his life" and comes out as "omnisexual." http://www.advocate.com/exclusive_detail_ektid59252.asp - I dont know how to cite articles properly so leave it up to whoever does. Jerry should be added to additional categories: American bisexual actors and American bisexual playwrights (or American bisexual musical writers?) Clean up[edit]

This arctile is in desperate need of a clean up & major re-write, indeed it's one of the worse articles I have ever read on Wikipedia. Just a small number of examples:

'That belief made him tireless.'
'They associated with a group of kids in the East Village who were dropping out and dodging the draft and talked to characters in the streets and people they knew and read lots of articles in the press and media about hippies and about kids being kicked out of school for growing their hair long.'
'His response to the songs was, "Where's the music?"'
'Butler was immediately interested and wanted to move it to Broadway, so he bought the rights from Papp for $50,000 and got ready to stage a whole new grander production, with Tom O'Horgan, who Ragni knew from off-Broadway, directing.'
'However, he was soon itching for something new.'

It was rather difficult to select examples of bad writing as the whole article is shockingly bad - it reads more like a stream of consciousness than an encyclopedia article. Name in lead, naming convention[edit]

He changed the spelling of his name from Jerome to Gerome; I updated the lead format by copying similar such as Bill Clinton. I didn't see an exact example of changed spelling of first names and where to put the middle name in Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people) although an exact answer might be in one of the 13 archives of talk.
