Pacific Highway or Motorway[edit]

Hi

This article and Google Maps says A1 Pacific Highway but last time I went there it says M1 Pacific Motorway. OpenStreetMaps also says M1. Is there a reason for these inconsistencies. I do not know too much about roads. What should we follow?

We (WP:AURD) follow whatever is in the gazette and the schedule of classified roads. In this case, it is the Pacific Highway with a route marker of A1. However, the name and/or route marker may change in the near future as the Pacific Highway upgrade has been recently completed. When these changes are gazetted, the names and route markers can then be updated across articles in Wikipedia. Marcnut1996 (talk) 11:22, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Marcnut1996. I mainly only know about the absurd or roads that don't make sense to me. (like B400) or historic roads.
