Controversies[edit]

I would propose this entire sections removal, as the articles own list shows no award ever being issued to the woman in question in the first place, and there being no sources to prove she was ever awarded the award, bar news articles from 2015 of the husband claiming to be returning the award.

A Google search, when filtered to only show results published prior to 1 January 2015, shows no legitimate results for a search with both the terms "Moira Smith" and either of the terms "Glamour" or "Woman of the Year".

The Washington Post is a solid source. It appears that prior to 2003 the award was given in a much more low-key and unpublicized manner. Cla68 (talk) 05:42, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Years 2002 and 2016?[edit]

No Awards in these years? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.85.174.135 (talk) 17:35, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

2017 Woman of the Year[edit]

The article lists "Bruce Jenner" as "women of the year 2017". This is not supported by the source, and also seems rather unlikely to me, given that Caitlyn Jenner won woman of the year in 2015 and that the editor seems to have deliberately used her deadname. I have removed this entry. 86.20.9.172 (talk) 17:43, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updating[edit]

Has not been updated since 2017. Is anybody interested in maintaining this? It's not one of my subjects, so do not want to get involved in this one. Ex nihil (talk) : Ex nihil (talk) 11:00, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
