[Untitled][edit]

Glasgow Tower is not the tallest free-standing structure in Scotland. It is only 127 metres high; Inverkip Power Station chimney is 213 metres. --62.239.159.6 12:24, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"At 127 metres high, the tower is currently the tallest floored building..." The Glasgow Tower is not classed as a building because the definition of a building requires habitable floors throughout. (See CTBUH) -- Stellar Smith (talk) 23:57, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it's a building. Buildings are not defined by some arbitrary organisation: they are defined by what the word 'building' means in English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.97.121.129 (talk) 19:15, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Now Inverkip Power Station has been demolished, is this the tallest tower in Scotland, or has another structure been built in the intervening period?--RedHillian | Talk 16:32, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Purpose[edit]

All this talk about bearings and floors and taller chimneys, I still have no clue what this structure is intended to be used for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:646:8200:387B:7DF3:C85A:D9B3:7E89 (talk) 02:34, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
