children[edit]

It's not right. Quagmire has 5 children and even more we don't know about. There's the spanish one, the one in the school (he said "Daddy?"), the spanish kid in the school (he said "Papa?"), the special kid in school (he was special needs and said "Daddy?" in a kind of special way) and then Anna Lee (who he calls Anal). There are more, as he's been quoted saying "Who knows? Maybe I got kids all over the world!" then it cut to the one in Madrid, Spain. So someone should add the other three. 68.39.79.161 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:04, 18 November 2009 (UTC).[reply]

The only one that is for sure his child, and not just implied to be his child, is Anna Lee. CTJF83 chat 23:18, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

redirect[edit]

Someone plz tell me why i typed in "cuntry" and was sent to thispage i am deeply confused —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.40.240.198 (talk) 16:07, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because there was a redirect in place for that term. I requested a speedy deletion of the redirect since it seems pointless (though I'm not sure what you'd set up for the term itself), and was created by a user who has been indefinitely blocked for poor behavior, which IMO suggests it wasn't a credible redirect to begin with. Doniago (talk) 16:15, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was a reference to the episode where Quagmire takes a "Cross Cuntry" tour planning on having sex with a woman in every state. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.102.26.201 (talk) 03:49, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Age[edit]

In a certain episode (forgot which) Quagmire says that he was born in 1948, making his age as of writing around 62. Should I put this on here or not? BrandonGhost (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 01:40, 23 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]

No, please don't it's trivial, and discussed in great length here CTJF83 chat 02:37, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the article now, I agree that this information would be out of place, as it isn't relevant to understand the meaning of the character. However, some information in the info box doesn't seem to be any more informative. His spouse seems to be rather irrelevant (unlike Cleveland), so does his Navy occupation and I am unsure if the rest of his family entries have value beyond character trivia. 77.6.130.244 (talk) 08:50, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quagmire and Brian[edit]

The article says that the animosity between the two was resolved in Tieg for Two, but that episode ended with Quagmire refusing to give Brian a ride in his car, and then intentionally hitting Brian with the car. I don't think the animosity was resolved and this should be edited. Canine virtuoso (talk) 22:49, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done No sourcing was provided to conclusively establish this, and I don't recall any episode making it clear that the animosity was resolved. Agreed. Doniago (talk) 14:51, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move Mike Cline (talk) 01:20, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Glenn QuagmireQuagmire (Family Guy) – His WP:COMMONNAME, and what is he most referred to as. In a similar fashion as Leela (Futurama), Bender (Futurama), and others. CTJF83 19:31, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. Just "Quagmire" is the clear common name and that's how the majority of readers will be searching for this article. Jenks24 (talk) 05:36, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Such readers will not see any change to their experience as a result of this move request. They will still search "Quagmire", and will still be sent to the disambiguation page, where this character will continue to be listed. Powers T 15:51, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose; Wikipedia:Article titles favors natural disambiguation, where available, over parenthetical disambiguation. Powers T 15:51, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. His profile on Fox's site is entitled "Glenn Quagmire". The test is, would the target audience, the people who watch the show, recognize "Glenn Quagmire" as the name of this character, or would they think that version of the name is some weird Wikipedia thing? That "Quagmire" is more common than "Glenn Quagmire" is irrelevant since the Quagmire lemma is taken. Kauffner (talk) 01:01, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose I think this was discussed previously, and was opposed. Gage (talk) 07:29, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

additional content[edit]

could something be put in about his family, not the trivial characters but his dad and daughter, as it is put into great detail his love for cheryl teigs. also, could his catchphrases be extended to 'Alright' and 'OOO', from the original run The Almightey Drill (talk) 21:10, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dad/daughter yes, catchphrases prob not. The article does need expansion. CTJF83 17:43, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality[edit]

he`s not Polish-American he is Japanese American. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.110.245.30 (talk) 12:39, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In "Halloween on Spooner Street", tired of being pranked, Quagmire says he is a Japenese fighter pilot with Peter and Joe in a fighter plane. He dives and swoops up at the end and says something like "I'm not Japenese, I'm Polish". CTF83! 10:16, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB spells it as Glen, not Glenn (see link)[edit]

Should we rename, or just include the alternate spelling in the description? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.178.192.179 (talk) 16:37, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's a user generated site, and wrong, according to Fox CTF83! 23:44, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Which Race of Human is Glenn Quagmire?[edit]

I think every single one of us the Family Guy likes to look, knows that in Family Guy there is nothing about skin color. Family Guy on the show, the race decides everything. Glenn Quagmire has a browner skin tone than Peter Griffin and he has very black dark hair. Glenn Quagmire is a U.S. American of Italian descent? Glenn Quagmire is a U.S. American of poland descent? Glenn Quagmire is a U.S. American of mexican descent? https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AwrIAX.fz8peP8gAmlZfCwx.;_ylu=X3oDMTByZm5kMHEyBGNvbG8DaXIyBHBvcwM3BHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzcg--?qid=20080806213910AAAs1h7&guccounter=1 https://www.reddit.com/r/familyguy/comments/5xxztu/what_race_is_quagmire/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Psycho Trip (talkcontribs) 19:52, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Needs expansion[edit]

In recent episodes, it seems the showrunners have drastically toned down Quagmire's sexual humour, but this isn't mentioned in the article. I could be wrong, but I think this started after the episode where his penis was bitten off. It's not mentioned on the Family Guy wiki either. I'm not crazy right? They HAVE changed his character and removed the sexual humour aspect, right? 2604:3D08:7481:AF00:1C79:9254:8B66:1185 (talk) 08:44, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You'll need sources that have made this observation; otherwise it would be original research. DonIago (talk) 14:11, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The source would just be...the show itself? 2604:3D08:7481:AF00:60FB:99F3:4CEC:2DF6 (talk) 02:03, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The show itself hasn't said that Quagmire's humor has been toned down though; you have. DonIago (talk) 02:16, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, just leave the article outdated then, whatever... 2604:3D08:7481:AF00:28EA:85C4:9A31:6596 (talk) 10:14, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Children[edit]

Anna Lee “Courtney” Quagmire is incorrect, they are two separate characters.

Anna Lee Quagmire appears in Season 8 Epsiode 6 “Quagmire’s Baby”. She is an infant that is left on Quagmire’s doorstep by her mother. He later places her up for adoption.

Courtney Quagmire is Glenn’s adult daughter that appears in the episode “No Giggity, No Doubt”. This is episode 15 of Season 17. Courtney is a young adult who does not know her mother but is confirmed to be Quagmires daughter via an emergency DNA test kit he keeps in his home.

He may have other children referenced throughout the series but both of these characters are proven to be his daughter. 2600:6C44:F7F:5EEB:DD83:9FE3:6765:6EBD (talk) 03:09, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
