why does india have two ratings?

This is incorrect, India was ranked 76th in the Global Innovation Index. What is the best way to update the rankings for the latest report, the Global Innovation Index 2015? I am hoping to make the information on this page less outdated and more accurate. Thank you!JCI2020 (talk) 19:36, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

More than one contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest; one editor has declared a paid connection (please see above). Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:37, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Global Innovation Index (GII) is a report on innovation published by Cornell University, INSEAD, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). It ranks 140 economies around the world, utilizing 79 indicators [1]. Published annually since 2007, the GII has become a tool for policymakers, governments, and businesses in understanding the current state of innovation across the globe.[2]JCI2020 (talk) 15:35, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The last sentence follows the wording of the original source rather closely. For that reason, I would prefer to keep the article text as it stands. Altamel (talk) 03:20, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I decided to reword the sentence for you, and added it to the article. Altamel (talk) 03:27, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the country ranking because it is a subjective list under non-commercial use only terms. MER-C 18:00, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
