According to GeoNames Gods River enters the Hayes from the west while Red Sucker River and Echoing River enter the Hayes directly miles before, see e.g. [1] and follow the Gods River upstream, and compare GeoNames search results for the other rivers. Naming should be "Gods River" and not "God's River"[edit]
On 2011-05-01 at 14:42:08, User CJLippert in good faith renamed this article from "Gods River" to "God's River" by moving the article to that latter name, with an edit reference suggesting the Atlas of Canada (AOC) supported the new naming. However, I have examined both the AOC Maps as well as the Geographical Names Board of Canada Geonames entry; both support the naming as "Gods River" and not "God's River". The article should be moved back to "Gods River". See the Geonames entry for the river at "Gods River". Geographical Names Data Base. Natural Resources Canada. Retrieved 2013-10-31., where one can also access an Atlas of Canada topographic map. --papageno (talk) 18:08, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Moving the river's article back to "Gods River" should be fine. It appears the First Nations that are about it are named "God's River" but not the AoC name database maintained by NR-Canada, where it is "Gods River". CJLippert (talk) 20:48, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, have added the {{db-move}} template to the God's River article to enable the move back to Gods River --papageno (talk) 23:10, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
