A possible line for further investigation[edit]

Is anything known about her mother, Martha Bradbury, following Godscall's birth? If the girl did survive into childhood -- which admittedly infants of single mothers did not always succeed at -- she would have most likely remained with Martha until she was old enough to take care of herself. So Martha's movements become relevant: did she remain in London, or return to Barbados? If the latter, then Godscall went with her, & possibly ended her days there.

Llywrch Definitely worth looking into. I don't think any of the sources used in this article mention what happened to Martha Bradbury after 1694. Speculatively she might have remarried (though she must have been at least in her 40s) and changed her last name, in which case tracking her down might be difficult (many people named Martha). One idea I had was that if Godscall survived infancy and her childhood, there must be records of her death somewhere. Even if Godscall then hypothetically got married at some point, her strange first name should help with identification, though I'm not sure how one would go about looking into that.
