Can anyone find a reference to substantiate the assertion in the Trivia section regarding being the first to play Grandioso?
Being a Longhorn myself, I admit I am biased; however I would also like something to help back this up. The Texas Longhorn Marching Band claims to have first played this piece in 1955, while the Goin' Band's website simply claims that they were the first one in the state of Texas to play it. I wish they would supply a date (of course, it would be simple enough to say 1954, but that's beyond the point). Anyone have a good source on this?
