[edit]Talk:G.W.Choudhury
I am very much surprised to read the article by Wikidedia about my late husband Professor G.W. Choudhury as it is full of malicious misinformation. First, my husband did not oppose the creation of Bangladesh in 1971. Rather as a member of Yahaya Cabinet he was entrusted to work out a plan for a confederation consisting of the provinces of West Pakistan and then East Pakistan. In that capacity, he was a go-between Yahaya, then President of Pakistan, and the leader of Bengali Nationalist Movement, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The later knew exactly what my late husband's was. When the plan/the negotiation between the regime and Mujib failed, Professor G.W. Choudhury left Pakistan in March way before the Army crackdown in then East Pakistan to take up an assignment with the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), UK. HE DID NOT FLEE THEN EAST PAKISTAN IN DECEMBER 1971. Both are blatant and deliberate lies propagated by some mischievious people. And they should be corrected. It should also be noted that since then he did not take any active part in politics. He simply and quietly went back to his profession, which he loved. Second, I fail to understand what the author of the article meant by stating that late Professor G.W.Choudhury maintianed link with Golam Azam. My late husband and Golam Azam lived in two different countries. Golam Azam lived in London while Professor G.W. Choudhury left for USA to take up his teaching assignment in Columbia University, USA. In this regard, I request Wikipedia to consult the Obituary of Professor G.W.Choudhury, published in the Record of Columbia University in the City of New York, Vol.23, No. 13, January 30, 1998. Third, his wife's i.e. my citizenship was never taken away, which the author claims without checking the facts or has done deliberately. Last but least of all is that I am baffled by the fact that Google has put the section on Professor G.W. Choudhury in my Google Record introducing me as his wife ignoring the fact that I have own identity and I am known internationally due to my profession and publications. I hope and expect that the information about Professor G.W.Choudhury and mine would be duly corrected. No one should be vilified for his/her person beliefs. It also does speak a lot about Wikipedia if the articles it publishes are full of such blatant, vengeful and malicious lies.

Dubious links
[edit]Whoever "Mrs. Dilara Choudhury PhD"s is, there are serious concerns about the cancellation G W Choudhury and his wife's citizenship. The source used (https://www.pdf-archive.com/2014/04/21/jibone-ja-dekhlam-part-1to3/) is a dubious link which illegible as it has unicode errors. Therefore, the claims must be removed.Messiaindarain (talk) 05:42, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- The link is biography written by Ghulam Azam, chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh. Bangla font need to be downloaded to read it. In that biography, there is entire one section dedicated to G. W. Choudhury and in page 464 it is mentioned that G. W. Choudhury's citizenship was cancelled .
