Wow, we're deciding to have a page on the overall series itself now? O_O; Pretty cool idea, and in fact I think there will be a good amount of commentary on the series itself that can be cited from across the internet as time goes on. As it is, though, it's pretty much comprised of material copy-pasted from the two game articles themselves... The page'll probably be changed around to be a lot more like other game series pages in general, like Fire Emblem. Erik Jensen (Appreciate or Laugh At) 18:22, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it was mostly copy and paste from the other two articles, with me adding some transitions and shortening parts and re-organization. Hopefully, once DS comes out, there will be more information - especially on the development aspect. :) --haha169 (talk) 21:46, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Right. However, it still needs a lot of work in order for it to be more distinctive from the main game articles... Erik Jensen (Appreciate or Laugh At) 22:21, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Accompanying maps.

[edit]

Wouldn't it be appropriate to mention the accompanying maps that came with the games? And as i recall the maps did not come with every region's version of the map. --Refuteku (talk) 15:59, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update needed.

[edit]

Like Golden Sun (series)#Battle, only include GS1,2 but no GSDD.--124.119.144.66 (talk) 09:31, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Review

[edit]
  • Maybe put the "|lead=yes" code in the title.
  • In the infobox, remove the red link to Shin Yamanouchi.
  • "a flat, vaguely circular plane whose oceans perpetually spill off the edge of the world's entire perimeter into what seems to be an endless abyss" - I think you could substitute that comma for an "and"
  • You should link the first Golden Sun in its first instance in the development section.
  • The music section only covers the first game. Can you confirm any info related to Sakuraba's work on the second and third games?
  • "In addition, a medley of music from The Lost Age was also selected to be on Brawl's soundtrack" - Double positive. No need for the "also".
  • Is the "Akiba Angels" reference reliable?
  • The references are in dire need of attention.
    • The 1Up references are dead. You can use WebCite and Archive.is to save them.
    • Every IGN link needs archiving or url updating, or both.
    • CNET reference needs its url updating.
    • Archiving the GameSpot refs is more than advisable.
    • General reference maintenance work (linking sites, archiving sources) is more than advisable.

That's everything that caught my eye. Once the above are addressed, I'll give the article a second look and see what happens - until then, I'll put this review on hold. --ProtoDrake (talk) 05:53, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you again for taking time to review the page! I've taken a crack at fixing some of your concerns, but I haven't gotten around to them all yet. Apologies in advance for all the external link issues, I usually fix them before sending them off for review; I must have overlooked those this time. When I get more free time, I will research more about the series' music, and will replace the Akiba Angels reference. Otherwise, the links and other fixes should be done! Best, haha169 (talk) 05:18, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Haha169: After due consideration, I've decided to put the article back to on review. That'll give you the extra time needed to handle the remaining elements within your time limits. --ProtoDrake (talk) 09:02, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@ProtoDrake: I've replaced the AkibaAngels source and re-written the section on the manga. There was only a Spanish-language source available regarding the manga adaptation, so I had to use that. There also isn't much out there regarding the music (outside of fansites), but I've expanded that where I could. I believe all the maintenance work regarding the external links and sources are fixed. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do! --haha169 (talk) 02:08, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Haha169: I don't think I'll hold this up any further. I'll give this article a Pass. --ProtoDrake (talk) 08:09, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

– There are a few games in this series. The first one, while a well-known classic, is not necessarily so notable that it is the primary topic over the series as a whole. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:30, 10 December 2019 (UTC) Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 16:52, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that wide-spanning a series, and I don't think the later games are particularly barnstorming in popularity over the original. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs talk 00:41, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
