'2D Special' is actually 'Nijigen-kun Special', I think. Isapfe (talk) 07:18, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
- I searched for somebody's critique on the special, and found one (http://koyak.blog17.fc2.com/blog-entry-541.html) that even with Google Translate looked quite interesting. The focus is indeed Nijigen-kun. --Rpapo (talk) 11:44, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Main Protagonists and Supporting Characters
[edit]I believe Kouko is the true protagonist, even though Kouko appeared less times than Banri, and the story is about Banri. Because Kouko is actually acting like a funny person. Like doing the exorcist pose, ready to barf and getting stabbed by her own clay project that looks like a Eiffel Tower while making out with Banri, dancing like a crazy person, etc. Also, during the OP and ED PVs, The PVs show only Kouko a lot of times. And at the end credits, Kouko's name is listed first, and Banri's name is listed second. Also, look up the anime covers. They show that Kouko is at the front inside the spotlight, and Banri is at the back outside the spotlight. So... Even though the whole story is about Banri, Kouko is the true main protagonist, or this anime can have 2 protagonists instead of 1. - Kouko is not described as the "female protagonist", whether on official websites or reliable sources, and she even appears after both Banri and Mitsuo in terms of the story, so listing her before Banri, who the story revolves around, is misleading and original research. Besides, these novels are on a male-oriented demographic imprint, so of course they're going to put more focus on the main girl because that's what draws readers/watchers into this type of series.--十八 09:47, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Nintenchris5963: Let me just be clear as to why this is OR. WP:NOR states "The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist. This includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources." right at the top of the policy. What you're basically doing is taking her position as listed on the anime's website to imply that she is the "female protagonist", even though that wording isn't used on the website, nor is it used in reliable sources that discuss the series or the character. So you are basically adding your own analysis of that website into advancing your own conclusion as to what Kouko is to the series, which is not backed up by reliable sources.
- And what's more, if you read the prologue of the first novel, you'll see that it is Banri to appear first, and that Kouko does not appear until later on in the first chapter (not linking to it for copyvio concerns, but I'm sure you can find the English translated version of it online).--十八 00:03, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
