Germany doesn’t have a national animal[edit]

The golden eagle is the most common national animal in the world, with five nations—Albania, Germany, Austria, Mexico and Kazakhstan—making it the national animal.

That’s just not true for Germany, which doesn’t have a national animal or national bird. The only national symbols of Germany are the flag, the federal coat of arms, the federal shield (the version of the coat of arms used on the state and military flags), the federal seal (yet another version of the coat of arms), and the national anthem. The eagle is the central element of the coat of arms (and the derived shield and seal), but it’s not a symbol in its own right. —ThorstenNY (talk) 01:02, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
