Goleta CDP area and population

The use of official 2000 census area and population figures is highly inaccurate for this article, as the borders of the incorporated city of Goleta in no way resemble Goleta CDP as it existed in the 2000 census. Backspace 04:00, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Proper way to pronounce goleta?

We are definitely "Go-LEE-tans"--unless, of course, you're speaking Spanish.

-Goleta is featured in an episode entitled "Psy vs. Psy" from the USA Network's televison show Psych, where guest star Bianca Kajlich, who plays his psychic nemesis, was found to be lying about her where abouts when Shawn Spencer proves that she passed 17 different starbucks and met with the killer in Goleta, at a fictional cofee shop called the "Goleta Gulp".
