Too many lists

This encyclopaedia article is turning into a collection of lists. I have today checked every person on the list of "Famous personalities" and could only establish a claim to fame for one of them. I have deleted the others. A person may be famous in his home town for a few years, but this does not necessarily make him sufficiently notable to warrant a mention in a worldwide encyclopaedia.

The other lists (Famous Temples, Famous Streets, Hospitals, Panchayats, etc) communicate very little to the vast majority of readers. They should either be re-written as descriptive informative text, or removed.
