EDIT: Homer tries to kill some rats in his kitchen. They make him a meal which turns out to be less than spectacular, so he continues to try to kill them.[1] It has elements of Ratatouille.[1]

I just put in the stuff from the beginning rigth after I saw the episode, I also added a triva statement too. I can't edit the rest of the article now because I can't remember what else happens in enough detail. Would someone please finish the article? Bill O'Reilly[edit]

River Crossing Riddle[edit]

Although the puzzle was present in Professor Layton, it's is certainly not unique to the game. I'll remove the entry until further discussion.

Although the puzzle has been around for a long time, the way it was presented is a pretty clear reference to Layton: The sudden appearance of Professor Frink, Homer's arm waving when asking for help, Cletus asking for help with another riddle (which also appears in Layton.)Not to mention it makes little sense for both those riddles and Homer asking for help to be in the episode if they weren't a reference. The Seven Year Itch[edit]

I think the article should mention the scene where Homer says that the rats in the kitchen reminds him of the movie which he recorded on the movie theatre: "Ratatoey"... 'Cause that's the best joke of the entire first part! When Homer is buying pesticide at "Pest Buy", the store's name is a clear reference to Best Buy. And what about the scene where Lisa is advised by Mother Superior to wear her habit moderately, "unlike Sister Marylin"? And then we see a nun imitating Marylin Monroe's worldwide known scene in Billy Wilder's The Seven Year Itch... That's clearly a pop culture reference, and also a tribute to one of the greatest actresses of all time! Comic Book Guy tells Lisa that his main source on the gem legend is Wikipedia... that's also cool to mention! It's 'cause he's dumb and since he recorded the film himself (illegally, inside the movie theatre, LOL), he can't spell it right... I had the best laugh at the first part with this! The Simpsons writers may not know this, but recording films inside movie theatres is very common in Brazil. — Rodrigogomesonetwo – 14:46, July 14, 2009.

Anagram[edit]

When the nun corrects the anagram, she links the letters from Lisa's solution to prove that the anagram is correct, except that one of the 'S's remains unlinked when it should have been linked to the 'S' of Sherlock. Gone Daddy Gone[edit]
