I really wish that ya'll would stop saying that this song is R&B when Ciara has specifically stated that it was a crunk&B record in varoius interviews. --ATL Boi

Section header removed

[edit]

Wikipedia:Guide_to_layout#Structure_of_the_article recommends (for good reason) against short sections, which is particularly relevant to this article, in which the entire body of text is small enough to become the one "section". It doesn't make much sense to label a section "Song information"; readers are likely to expect the entire article will contain information about the song. One of the Most Successful Crunk or Crunk&b Songs Ever

[edit]

Why is it that whenever I add that "Goodies" is one of the most successful crunk&b or crunk songs ever it gets removed? It truly is! If you think about how many crunk or crunk&b songs that have gone to number 1 on the Hot 100, the Hot R&B Songs, or other charts, it's success is matched by VERY few. I really would like some opinions on it before I simply add it and have it removed again. Thanks! SkylerSlywchuk (talk) 20:04, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Usher's "Yeah" is the most successful crunk&b song. It charted at number one in most countries around the world. It spend 12 weeks at number one in the U.S. and "Goodies" spend seven weeks at one. Charmed36 (talk) 20:17, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know that. I was the one who put "The most successful crunk&b song" in the "Yeah!" article. But "Goodies" is probably one of the only crunk&b songs to reach number 1 in the U.S. or anywhere so I think it should be mentioned. SkylerSlywchuk (talk) 19:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A source is needed for a statement like that. Charmed36 (talk) 04:09, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What kind of source. There are articles here that can support that fact. SkylerSlywchuk (talk) 14:57, 26 September 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by SkylerSlywchuk (talkcontribs) [reply]

Orphaned references in Goodies (song)

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Goodies (song)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "acharts":

  • From Fantasy Ride: "Ciara - Fantasy Ride - Music Charts". αCharts. Retrieved 2009-05-08.
  • From Work (Ciara song): http://acharts.us/song/45238

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 08:25, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whistle

[edit]

What instrument is used for the whistling line? I'd guess some sort of synth, but maybe it's a slide whistle? It would be nice to link to an article about the instrument ... and also about the use of whistled lines like that in pop music. --Macrakis (talk) 21:55, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
