Reverted this change. Registering a domain is not equivalent to launching a website. Google Search was originally hosted under a different domain on Stanford's servers, and before that was active as BackRub. IceWelder [✉] 19:50, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Safesearch[edit]

I think that the Safesearch part should be added to or removed entirely as it currently does not add to this article. I would add it but I have not made enough edits.

Project Mercury[edit]

Many reliable sources are writing about the functioning of Google Search in the wake of United States v. Google LLC (2020), see also Megan Gray. This should help add information about the quality of search results, which is a familiar topic. Nemo 17:09, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I like to capture the history of each algorithm update as per this image and other sources available online.

I like to include a section “Major Google Algorithms” after “search results” heading. In that, I like to talk about how Google's algorithm evolved from 1998 to 2024. I like to capture everything inside a table with appropriate sources.
