Tone issues with the QoS section[edit]

As with the recent changes by 212.100.250.228 (talk · contribs) to Kenny Brannigan, there are obvious BLP problems with the QoS section as it stands, stemming from what appears to be that user's personal interpretation of the events in question. If this isn't cleaned up quickly then in line with our BLP policy I'll be removing negative or interpretive material which is not directly backed up by reliable secondary sources. I agree and have tried to address these issues. I think the IP's edits were in good faith but there are situations where facts are being pulled together to create statements which aren't directly supported by reliable sources. For instance, implying that Chisholm was only able to take QOTS to the 2008 Scottish Cup Final because they turned full time. It's not that straightforward. Sure, turning full time would have helped (when was the last time a part time team reached the Final?), but there are plenty of full time teams who didn't reach that Final - including two that were beaten by QOTS, namely Dundee and Aberdeen. Therefore Chisholm's achievement is still valid. There are plenty of full time clubs who have poor records in the Scottish Cup, as I well know! Think it's longer than stub class so I'm rating it as start. Fedgin 14:36, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
