Apparatchik[edit]

Goronwy-Roberts was a typical Labour apparatchik. The Labour machine in the safe Caernarfon constituency delivered him his seat in election after election. He was famous for his disinterest in constituency work and indeed in his lack of interest in Parliamentary activity. Indeed he never made his maiden speech despite spending 24 years in parliament. He undoubtedly did good work in committee but had he had more interest in local issues Plaid might not have been able to build a bridgehead in the constituency. Goronwy-Roberts had his home at Penrhos, near Pwllheli. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 00:03, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Assia Wevill[edit]

According to Assia Wevill's biography A Lover of Unreason, he was her next-door neighbour at 3 Okeover Manor in Clapham Common, London, when she committed suicide in her flat in march, 1969. Together with another tenant, a Mrs. Margaret Jones, he found her after smelling the gas. Could that be of interest for his article? Best regards, OfficeBoy (talk) 12:34, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
