Is the second paragraph in the 'History' section improvable?

[edit]

Hi! I'm quite new to wikipedia and unsure of what to do about this paragraph. The whole thing needs a citation, and the run-on sentences make it incredibly hard to understand. I'm aware that removing large sections of work is generally frowned upon, but I don't think the paragraph does much for the article. Perhaps a description of the advertisements would fit better in a different section? Aiue (talk) 16:15, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Dumplings are yummy are you by any chance interested in helping me with this paragraph? I noticed that you fixed up some of the grammar as well. Aiue (talk) 16:18, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes! Just tell me what you need me to edit. Dumplings are yummy (talk) 14:34, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
so, it's tagged with [citation needed], so there might be a case for just deleting the whole thing. however in terms of copyediting, run on sentences need to be broken up and the wikilinks should probably all just be removed (who needs additional context for the idea of cookies?).
the sentence "The people then would find themselves in an uncomfortable situation due to a full mouth and no milk to wash it down, including a commercial of a cruel businessman getting hit by a truck seconds after insulting someone over the phone and seemingly going to Heaven, only to find out it is actually Hell where he finds a huge plate of cookies and an endless supply of completely empty milk cartons." is particularly bad. I'm currently focusing on copyediting an article for GA status, so I won't be able to work on this a ton.

PlanetInNeed.com

[edit]

You are forgetting the biggest one of all! In 2006? they spent a ton of money on the website PlanetInNeed.com. All about the aliens trying to take the cow, "Da-iry", back to their planet for it's "white wonder tonic". There are still a few short videos from it around. And another kind of related website, CowAbduction.com, that just showed a cow grazing in a field, and it you clicked on it, it would get pulled up into the air and abducted, and it had a counter for how many times it happened. 71.104.14.107 (talk) 15:57, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
