Merger with governor's schools[edit]

No, this doesn't belong in the Governor's Schools article. This has been discussed several times, and they are different programs with a different charter -- the only connection is the word "Governor", much as "Virginia Power" and "Virginia Slims" both have the same word in their names but have wholly different origins. Name Change[edit]

Article's name is confusing and would still be gramatically correct as just "Virginia Governor's Foreign Language Academy." No need to make the title plural and double possessive. VirginiaProp 23:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since there are six separate academies, the name must remain plural. Although they have operated concurrently on a single campus as a "Global Village" since 2003, every effort is made to maintain the distinct characteristics and traditions of the individual academies. 141.104.23.101 (talk) 14:27, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Helen Small, Specialist for Foreign Languages, Virginia Department of Education[reply]

Assessment for WikiProject Virginia[edit]

Assessed as "start" class as article still has many lacunae but does have a good amount of content. Importance is rated as "low" for purposes of Virginia Project. VirginiaProp 23:32, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
