Replace photo with infobox

[edit]

Anyone object to my replacing the photo on this page (which also appears on Ted Kulongoski where I think it is more appropriate) with an infobox about the office as on Oregon Secretary of State? -- "J-M" (Jgilhousen) 23:19, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion idea

[edit]

Probably should have a lt. gov section to cover more in depth the lack of the office. This could include the now outdated bit above pending legislation and then cover the various ballot measures that have proposed adding the position. Aboutmovies (talk) 11:32, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the law about consecutive terms when they are not both full terms?

[edit]

I came here to see how the law is worded that forbids a governor from having more than two consecutive terms when at least one of the two terms is not a full term.

That is the case for the current governor, Kate Brown, whose first term was three months short of a full term.

Yet the New York Times reports that she is ineligible to run for a third consecutive term after the end of her current (second) term.

I hope someone knowledgeable about this law can fill in the answer somewhere in the article. 2601:200:C000:1A0:996:A73:BA05:6E31 (talk) 17:49, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I added some more information that should clarify this point. --Esprqii (talk) 16:00, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Missing information

[edit]

A lot of information that would normally be in this sort of page is missing. For example, when does the Governor's term start? When This would be a lot more relevant than all the historical trivia that is currently listed. Another example of missing information... it talks about who becomes Governor when somebody resigns, and the line of succession, but it doesn't talk about how the Governor normally gets their job (Statewide election).98.246.153.16 (talk) 10:25, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
