Ref tags[edit]

I disagree with the suggestion to use <ref> tags for the references. Harvard style as used here is clearly supported by WP's citation policy, which also says not to change the reference style once set. In addition, I prefer to reserve <ref> for explanatory footnotes, which I think should be kept distinct from bibliographic citations though they may possibly include Harvard-style references within them. —David Eppstein 19:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
