"Big Daddy" Ferguson as Gay Chicago Magazine founder

[edit]

The co-founders of Gay Chicago Magazine were Ralph Paul Gernhardt and Dan DiLeo. The article says "Big Daddy" Ferguson was the founder. At one point, the article says that "Big Daddy" Ferguson died in 2006 at 72, which is when Ralph Paul Gernhardt died at approximately that age. Perhaps "Big Daddy" Ferguson was a pseudonym used for the Grabbys by Gernhardt (who also from time to time used the pseudonym Ralph Paul), so I have undone my initial deletion of the Ferguson claim to be the magazine's founder. But the matter should be investigated further. Wbkelley (talk) 06:10, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it documents an import annual awards ceremony that has existed for more than a decade in the gay community. I was one of the original authors of this article, if it has become overly promotional, that can be cleaned up, but it doesn't deserve deletion!—D'Ranged 1 talk 17:54, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
