Talk:Grade II* listed buildings in Derbyshire Dales

Listing Listed Buildings is clearly an excellent, and entirely encyclopedic, thing. Most of those here tend to be the posh and grand, wouldn't it be nice if some more humble buildings were included. I've added Denval House in Winster, which I know well. Surely there are lots more? Glynhughes (talk) 12:39, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Denval House is Grade II listed, and there are an awful lot of Grade II listed buildings. The scope of this list is Grade II* listed buildings. It might be worth starting a list for Grade II, which is where Denval House would go, and see how that goes. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure how many that would be for the Derbyshire Dales. At the least, while I don't think Denval House falls into the scope of this list, is should be mentioned in the article on Winster, but it's not included there yet. Old Manor House, Wirksworth

[edit]

Does anyone know where this is? According to the listing entry, its address is 1 Coldwell Street, which is the same as for, er, 1 Coldwell Street. Although I can see the latter on Streetview[1], I cannot see anything matching the description of the Old Manor House. "1 Coldwell Street" is also said to form a group with the Red Lion Hotel and the Compleat Angler Inn (the last also having the address of 1 Coldwell Street...), though the Old Manor House is not mentioned in this group, even though it has the same address.
