Title[edit]

The player's name is Graham McKenzie; Garth was just a nickname. The page should be titled Graham McKenzie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.219.73.141 (talk) 08:50, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Garth McKenzieGraham McKenzie – This has moved back and forth a few times, but a gnews search of his playing career shows that he was called Graham McKenzie most of the time (Graham vs Garth). His teammates and commentators would have called him Garth as a nickname to his face, but it wasn't exclusive or commonly used in reliable sources, especially not with his surname. Whilst cricketarchive has his page as Garth, Cricinfo has it at Graham. The-Pope (talk) 15:31, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. It also seems silly to see the proposed title redirect here when someone else of that name exists. --BDD (talk) 23:42, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. A nickname needs to be extremely prevalent to be preferred over a real name (eg Sting (musician), and this is not the case. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:56, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
