Grand Master[edit]

Grand Master is a head of an organization that is 56,000 strong. Usually there are plentiful articles and even papers are written about him. If this isn't Notability (WP:BASIC), I don't know what is. At the same time, this is not a biographical article, so I'm not sure if Notability is even applicable. As far as using people's names lightly, his name is blazen across GL's webpage for all to see. If you do not object, I will restore GM's name back on the page.Truther2012 (talk) 13:55, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest leaving it off given that the office-holder is going to be changing inside of two months and again in two years and so on and so on. I think what would be more appropriate is for there to be an article about D. Gary Dowling linking back to this article. Just my two bits, FWIW  Natty10000 | Natter  14:34, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be an acceptable and common practice to show the list of Past GM on other Grand Lodge's articles. If anyone has a full list, please provideTruther2012 (talk) 15:29, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a Directory[edit]

Ardenn, A Grand Lodge doesn't have members, it is its members, making it (at least in my mind) perfectly acceptable to list them on a Wikipedia page about the Grand Lodge (I could have worked the officers into a paragraph and it would have been just as proper as including the President, CEO, COO, and CFO in an article about a corporation). However, I'm not going to make a big issue out of it, since I do actually think it probably looks better without the list (and I've added the Grand Master to the first paragraph), but I wouldn't say that it was a minor edit.
