Move proposal: Greater Orlando[edit]

Since Greater Orlando is the most common name for the MSA, I was thinking of moving the article back to Greater Orlando, in line with many similar metro area articles. --Kitch (Talk : Contrib) 15:13, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orlando vs Orlando Area[edit]

Greetings -- there has been a wild week of reverts and blocks going on with the Orlando-area attraction pages. Does anyone here have an opinion on removing the Walt Disney World Resort reference from this page as well, as some users are claiming that WDW isn't "near Orlando" but rather in Bay Lake or Lake Buena Vista (depending on their mood at the time of the edit)? Full discussion taking place all over, but has since joined up at Talk:Walt Disney World Resort. Cheers! SpikeJones (talk) 22:07, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suburbs with X Amount of Inhabitants=[edit]

Should we be counting CDP places that aren't incorporated as suburbs? My thought is no. Frank0051 (talk) 02:09, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed we have started to do this in the Greater Tampa and Greater Miami sections as well. If it is agreed upon that we should be putting CDPs, can we come up with some type of uniform way to distinguish between incorporated and non-incorporated areas? Recent edits[edit]

I don't believe the recent edits by Artystyk386 are an improvement. First, the wording is substantially less clear. The U.S. Census Bureau doesn't define MSAs, the Office of Management and Budget does. Lines like "As of 2010, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of Greater Orlando is 2,134,411, an increase of 51,990 new residents between 2009 and 2010" are just too wordy. Additionally, the edit moves the article title to after the unwieldy MSA name. The intro could use some work, but this isn't the way to go.Cúchullain t/c 14:27, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other Cities on Sidebar?[edit]

What is the criteria for the other cities on the infobar/sidebar? For instance, I see Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, etc. Should it be by population, notability, or is it just random? Frank0051 (talk) 05:22, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

IMHO all the links on this page are spam. Anyone else got an opinion? Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:12, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe http://www.visitorlando.com/ is ok. Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:17, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
