Is there a classical Greek Wikipedia?

I would definitely be interested in it.

If not, perhaps someone with more classical Greek than I should create it?

I propose the name "Ikipaideia," since in archaic Greek, the digamma would have been used for the 'w' sound, but would have disappeared in classical Greek (see Wanax, anax).

There is no need for creating an “ancient greek” wikipedia. The Greek language is one and undevidable. Those who think in terms of ancient and modern Greek are those who do not know Greek well. I repeat, the Greek language is one and it is getting older and older, stronger and stronger. We, Greeks, will not allow anyone break it down into parts. There is a Greek wikipedia. There is no need for another one. If some “greeks” have interpreted the rules of the wikipedia the way they have and do not allow all Greeks write in it, it will be limited. Educated Greek people will stay out of it, and it will be limited into some translators and some computer maniacs. We all write differently. Why is the name Βικιπαίδεια? Shouldn't it be, Βικιπαίντεια? The first would be 'Vikipethia," while the second is more accurate: "Viikipedia". Because "-pedia" comes from the Greek word "Εγκυκλο - παίδεια". So it sounds much better to use "δ" in Greek rather than "ντ". 'Disney" is not a Greek word so we just use "ντ" which is pronounced exactly as "d", so that it sounds exactly like in the corresponding English word.--NNeilAlieNN ^{Talk to me} 14:02, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
