I disagree with this page. First of all Greenburgh isn't mostly populated by Native Americans. And the population of Asian Americans is very high but i believe that there is a mistake in wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.224.217.230 (talkcontribs)

Where does the article make an assertion that the Greenburgh is mostly populated by Native Americans? The article says that Native Americans make up only 0.17% of the population. Furthermore, these numbers come from the U.S. Census of 2000. I will try to get the Greenburgh documentation and specifically cite this. Hartsdale is also part of Greenburgh

Dispute: Greenburgh's western border[edit]

An editor is attempting to insert the claim that Greenburgh isn't bordered on the west by the Hudson River, but instead by Bergen County, New Jersey and Rockland County, New York, on the other side of the river. I have suggested that to make that claim, they need to provide a citation from a reliable source that says so, as it's not intuitively obvious that two political entities separated by a mile-wide river "border" each other in any practical and reasonable way. It is true that the border between the states of New York and New Jersey runs down the middle of the river, but it needs to be shown that the borderlines of the various counties and towns do the same before the claim can be included in the article - anything else is original research. I'm the said user. I didn't like that you removed my information claiming it was "unsourced," while simultaneously keeping in the information about the other towns bordered by Greenburgh which was also unsourced. After some back-and-forth between us, I have to thank you for actually taking the time to go back and source them now. At least it no longer seems hypocritical when you pick and chose what stays and what goes.
I still feel statements like "it's not intuitively obvious that two political entities separated by a mile-wide river "border" each other in any practical and reasonable way," is your personal bias and very POV. You feel it's inapplicable, despite it being factual, and therefore should be removed. Personally, I think facts do belong in a Wikipedia article and shouldn't be removed simply because you feel they're "not intuitively obvious." It doesn't make them less factual and it doesn't make your personal feeling on the matter universal. As someone who enjoys studying maps and noting town, county, and state lines, I can tell you that Greenburgh's territory does not end at the Hudson shoreline but continues to the state line. Half of the Hudson river is within town limits.
And yes, Detroit borders Canada, Buffalo borders Canada, Manhattan borders Brooklyn, etc. despite 'a mile wide river' between the land, the water itself is indeed within the incorporated entity. A maritime boundary isn't any less of a boundary, it is still a border. 98.221.141.21 (talk) 22:28, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The answer to this dispute is incredibly simple. It won't be solved by argumentation, or your disparagement of my intellect or ethics, but it will disappear immediately once you provide a source that says that Greenburgh "borders" Bergen County, New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. All this time you're spending here would be more profitably spent doing the necessary research. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:53, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
